New Delhi, 14th December. There has been a slight decline in the Wholesale Inflation Index in December 2021. There has been a slight decline in the figures of wholesale inflation in the month of December as compared to the figures of November, but for the last nine months, the wholesale inflation rate has remained in the double figures. According to the data released by the government, the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) declined to 13.56 per cent in December 2021, while the figure was 14.23 per cent in November.

According to the data, there has been a fall in the Wholesale Inflation Index due to the fall in the prices of oil, electricity and manufacturing goods, but these figures are not much relief, as the WPI still remains in double digits. Let us tell you that in December 2020, the wholesale inflation rate was only 1.95 percent.

According to government data, in December, the inflation rate in the manufactured products segment was 10.62 percent, the inflation rate in the vegetables segment was 31.56 percent, the inflation rate in the food items segment was 6.68 percent. At the same time, the inflation rate of love has been 19.08 percent. The inflation rate for potatoes stood at -42.10 per cent. The inflation rate in the fuel and power segment has been 32.30 per cent. Earlier, the government released the retail inflation rate, according to which the retail inflation rate rose to 5.59 percent in the month of December. Whereas before this, the retail inflation rate was 4.91 percent in November.
