Elon Musk is rebuilding Twitter from scratch. Within a month, Musk has fired about 5000 employees from the company. Musk has told that Twitter is hiring people again and this time the hiring is being done for Twitter 2.0. The billionaire told about his future plans on the micro-blogging platform. He told that very soon new features are also going to come. Musk also told about the plan to hire new people, as he has fired more than half of the employees.
Many people had left Twitter job
Twitter’s new chief said on Sunday that he has started hiring for his Twitter 2.0 — The Everything app. Responding to a tweet, Musk further said that the world class software giant is joining Twitter. Earlier, thousands of software engineers had left Twitter of their own free will. He did this because Musk sent an ultimatum email, in which he asked the employees to click on Yes, if they are ready for a very strict work culture.
Many software engineers did not click yes and decided to leave the company. After about 1200 software engineers left the company, Musk asked other employees who knew coding to meet him.
Jobs are being given in these departments
In a recent meeting, Musk had said that large parts of the technology stack needed to be rebuilt from scratch. He had said that new engineering teams would have to be formed in Japan, India, Indonesia and Brazil. Twitter’s human resources team is hiring people for engineering and sales globally.
Musk also said that Twitter’s user active minutes are currently at a record high. He did that the tweets containing hate speech have reduced. And new user sign ups have also reached a record high. Musk told that with Twitter 2.0 the focus will be on presenting video and advertising as entertainment.
