Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022 Chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) amid political preparations of Asaduddin Owaisi gave a message for Congress, Samajwadi Party and BJP on Thursday. He gave this message after the three political parties called him “agent”. Addressing a public meeting in Jaunpur, a stronghold of SP-BSP, Owaisi said, “Yogi Adityanath, Akhilesh Yadav and Congress should decide among themselves whose agent I am.”
Owaisi said that “You must have heard Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath saying that Owaisi is an agent of Samajwadi Party. At the same time, SP says that Owaisi is an agent of BJP. Congress says that I am B team of BJP. I want to tell all of them that all three should sit down and decide among themselves whose agent I am.”
It is noteworthy that after the assembly elections in Bihar last year, Owaisi was called “vote katwa” by the Congress. Owaisi’s party had fielded 20 candidates in the crucial Seemanchal region, which has a sizeable Muslim population. The party won five seats splitting the Muslim vote, crushing the Grand Alliance’s hopes of a sweeping victory in the region.
More than 700 farmers have lost their lives due to the stubborn attitude of Modi government: Asaduddin Owaisi
Senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was quoted by ANI as saying, “BJP’s strategy of using Asaduddin Owaisi’s party in Bihar elections has been successful to an extent. All secular parties should be cautious about vote-cutter Owaisi Sahab should remain.” Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala outrightly called him a “BJP agent”.
Let us tell you that two days ago, Yogi Adityanath had called Owaisi an agent of Samajwadi Party. He said, “Everyone knows that Owaisi as an agent of SP is provoking sentiments but now UP is not known for riots but as a riot-free state.” Yogi said that earlier there were riots in the state every “third or fourth day”.
Why did PM Modi take the decision to withdraw the agriculture law? Has BJP burnt its own hands?
“I would like to warn the person who is once again trying to incite sentiments in the name of CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act),” he said. “I am asking the supporters of ‘Chacha Jaan’ and ‘Abba Jaan’ to listen carefully that if there is an attempt to spoil the atmosphere of the state by inciting sentiments, the state government will deal with it strictly,” the chief minister said.
