Voting continues on 89 seats in the first phase, prestige of BJP, Congress and AAP at stake

Gujarat Election 2022: For the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2022, votes are being cast for the first phase on Thursday. Voting is taking place for 89 seats in the first phase. The first phase is considered to be very important as it covers most of the rural seats in 19 districts of Saurashtra-Kutch and South Gujarat. Aam Aadmi Party’s chief ministerial candidate Ishudan Gadhvi is contesting from Khambhaliya seat in Dwarka district. The prestige of the parties is at stake in these seats.

Pabubha is contesting for the eighth time
Bhartiya Tribal Party founder Chhotu Bhai Vasava is contesting from Jhagadiya seat in Bharuch district, his victory on this seat is believed to be certain. The AAP party is believed to have a good hold on some seats in Surat and Saurashtra. BJP’s Pabubha Manek is trying his luck for the eighth consecutive time from Dwarka seat.
