Tata Group Digital Health Platform 1mg has started a pilot project to deliver diagnostic samples and medicines to India. Under this pilot project, through service of drones will be given. Right now it has been started in only one city Dehradun. This service will be used to deliver medicines and other healthcare products across the city. This drone will be able to do fast collection and distribution so that there is no delay due to road traffic.

For this service, Tata TSAW Ltd., a leading drone logistics service provider. Apart from delivering medicine to remote areas, these drones will also be able to pick up medical samples from different parts of the city and transport them to the Tata 1mg lab for processing.

How to handle drone medical samples

Apart from this, these drones will also come with a technology that will help them to continuously monitor the temperature while transporting the samples to the lab.

Tata is taking precautions to fly the drone

Tata 1mg is taking all the necessary precautions while flying these drones, to avoid any chances of accidents. The company’s COO Tanmay Saxena has claimed that each drone undergoes advanced checkups before and after its flight, which includes battery checks and more.

Apart from this, the drones also follow a smart mapping technology which helps them to find out the safest route to fly. Apart from this, these drones are equipped with anti-collision technology which helps them to understand whether there is an object in front of it or not during the flight.

In cases where they have to make an emergency landing, the drones are also able to locate a hub where they can land safely without damaging the property or parcel.
