How to use WhatsApp chat lock
Download or update to the latest version of WhatsApp on your Android or iOS device.
Then open WhatsApp and go to the chat you want to lock.
Click on the profile photo of the contact or group.
Below Disappearing Messages you will see Chat Lock feature. Tap on it.
Enable the Chat Lock feature and use your phone password or biometrics.
How to access locked chats on WhatsApp
Open WhatsApp and go to your home page.
Swipe down on the screen for all locked chats.
Tap the locked chat you want to access.
Use your phone password or biometrics to unlock the chat.
New options in Disappearing Messages
Apart from this, recently information has been received that WhatsApp is soon going to introduce new duration option in ‘Disappearing Messages’ mode. Till now you could keep this mode on for 24 hours, 7 days and 90 days. At the same time, if the latest report is to be believed, the instant messaging app will soon get new time duration options.
