DuckDuckGo: The talks between Apple and DuckDuckGo have gone sour, now you will get only Google for search in Apple iPhone. Let us tell you that for the past many days, talks were going on between Apple and DuckDuckGo for default search, which now does not seem to be completed.
Let us tell you that this whole matter started with serious allegations against Google, in which Google was accused that Google has changed the default search settings in Android and iOS mobiles, for this, legal action is also being taken against Google in America. In which Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella testified last week, Google is going to get some relief due to the halt in talks between Apple and DuckDuckGo.
What is DuckDuckGo?
According to a Bloomberg News report, Apple was in talks with DuckDuckGo to replace Google as the default search engine for private mode on Apple’s Safari browser, which fell through. DuckDuckGo is a search engine like Google, Mozilla Firefox and Apple’s Safari, through which you search any keyword in the Internet world. Let us tell you that 90 percent of people around the world search through Google. In such a situation, Apple along with DuckDuckGo was trying to end this monopoly of Google.
Apple official said this
Apple executive Giannandrea’s testimony is completely inconsistent. Giannandrea joined Apple in 2018 as head of search. In his testimony, Giannandrea said that to his knowledge Apple had not considered switching to DuckDuckGo. In a February 2019 email to other Apple executives, Giannandrea said that switching to DuckDuckGo for private browsing in Safari was “probably a bad idea”.
