Most of the followers on Elon Musk’s X (Twitter) are fake, revealed in the report

Elon Musk’s followers are fake? Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter (now X), is the only person on the platform whom most people follow. More than 153 million people follow him. But in the meantime, a shocking news related to Musk’s followers has come to the fore. In fact, according to Mashable’s report, about 42% of Musk’s followers are fake. It has been said in the report that the reason for the increase in followers is inactive accounts and recently created new accounts. Mashable has reviewed the data from Travis Brown, a third party researcher. It has also been told in the report that there are more than 65 million accounts among Musk’s followers who do not have even 1 follower.

Only 10 posts on over 100 million accounts

According to the data, only 4,53,000 or 0.3 percent of Musk’s total followers have subscribed to X Premium (earlier Twitter Blue $ 8 per month). It was told in the report that more than 72 percent or about 112 million accounts following Musk have less than 10 followers. It is known from the report that not all the followers of Musk are real. Also, it has been said in the report that more than 100 million followers have posted less than 10 tweets on their account.

Let me tell you, Elon Musk bought Twitter for $ 44 billion in October last year. Since then, he has changed the entire look and feel of the company. Some time ago Musk shared the number of monthly active users on X. It is around 540 million which is many times more than last year.

Another thing you should know here is that after buying Twitter, more than 40 million people connected to Musk’s account have created their account after October. This point indicates that the followers are fake.

Default photo on 38 million accounts

Mashable also reported that about 25 percent of all Musk’s followers, or more than 38 million accounts, use the default profile image that X provides for new accounts. Also, more than 40 percent of Musk’s followers or less than 50 million have 4 or more numbers in their ‘@’ handle on X. Means there are more than 4 numbers in the username.
