PM Modi to inaugurate India Mobile Congress 2023: The 7th edition of Indian Mobile Congress is going to start from tomorrow at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. PM Modi will inaugurate the event. This 3-day long event is being jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). In this regard, the Department of Telecommunication has also shared an X post in which it is written that Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is ready to inaugurate the India Mobile Congress 2023 on 27 October 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
More than 1 lakh people expected to participate
More than 1 lakh people are expected to participate in this event. Also, it will include 1300 representatives from 31 countries, 400 speakers, more than 225 exhibitors and 400 startups. Aspire program will also be launched in the 7th edition of Indian Mobile Congress which will help young entrepreneurs in telecom and digital domain to strengthen their business. Communications and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said at the curtain raiser of IMC 2023 in July that now is the time to increase telecom manufacturing under the PLI scheme and establish India as a technology superpower.

Many new technologies including 5G, 6G, broadcasting, semiconductor, drone devices and green technology will be discussed at the Indian Mobile Congress 2023. Earlier, in the IMC 2022 held last year, India had joined the fifth generation network and Jio and Airtel had launched 5G network in the country. At present, both the operators have covered most of the country under this high speed 5G network.
