Suryakumar Yadav World Cup 2023: India has recently announced the team for the World Cup 2023. Suryakumar Yadav has also been included in this. Surya is also in the Asia Cup 2023 team. He has not been able to do anything special in the ODI format so far. However, despite this, the selection committee and the captain have expressed confidence. Team India’s former batting coach Sanjay Bangar has reacted regarding Surya. He told where Surya needs improvement in ODIs.

Bangar says that sixes and fours cannot be easily hit in the middle overs. According to a news from India Today, Bangar said, “The biggest thing is that boundaries do not come easily in the middle of the innings. It is not easy to hit sixes and fours when three-four wickets fall. In T20 format, the ball remains solid throughout the innings. But in the last over of the ODI, the ball becomes soft. That’s why the boundary is not easily found.

He said, “Every batter needs to find a formula to score runs. Suryakumar Yadav is a versatile player. He definitely tries to hit boundaries. He knows very well where to hit. But if some improvement is needed then it is the batting between 25th to 40th over. I think they are not yet ready about how to score runs during this period.

Significantly, Surya has played 26 ODIs so far. During this, 511 runs have been scored. He has been able to score only two half-centuries during this period. Surya’s best ODI score for India is 64 runs. At the same time, he has scored 1841 runs in 53 T20 matches for Team India. Has scored 3 centuries and 15 half-centuries in this format. His best score in this format is 117 runs.
