India vs New Zealand World Cup 2023: India registered its fifth consecutive win in the World Cup 2023. Team India defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets in Dharamshala. Virat Kohli performed brilliantly for India in this match. He scored 95 runs. Although Kohli missed the century. There were three important reasons for India’s victory. Along with Kohli’s innings, Mohammed Shami bowled brilliantly. He took 5 wickets.
Mohammed Shami took five wickets –
The first important reason for India’s victory was the brilliant bowling of Mohammed Shami. Along with Shami, all the bowlers performed well for India. New Zealand scored 273 runs till all out in 50 overs. During this, Shami took 5 wickets for 54 runs in 10 overs. Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets in 10 overs. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj took 1-1 wicket.
Missed a century, but took Kohli closer to victory –
Virat Kohli came to bat at number 3 for India. During this, he faced 104 balls and scored 95 runs. Kohli hit 8 fours and 2 sixes. Even though Kohli could not score a century. But he took India very close to victory. Earlier, Rohit Sharma had scored 46 runs. Rohit had hit 4 fours and 4 sixes.
