Rahul Dravid’s son Samit in Karnataka’s Under-19 team: Samit, son of the current head coach of the Indian cricket team and former wicketkeeper batsman Rahul Dravid, has also set out on his father’s path. Samit was made a part of Karnataka’s 15-member Under-19 team for Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2023. This is an ODI tournament, in which Samit will come on the field to create a stir. The tournament will be played in Hyderabad from 12th to 20th October.
Samit has previously played for Karnataka in the Under-14 competition. But Samit will take the field for the first time for Under-19. This time he will get some experience of senior cricket. Rahul Dravid has also played for state level in Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 in the beginning of his career.
Apart from elder son Samit, Dravid’s younger son Anvay also plays cricket. Anvay was made the captain of Karnataka Under-14 team for the zonal tournament this year. Both the sons are seen following their father’s path.
Rahul Dravid will not be able to see his son play
ODI World Cup 2023 will start from October 5. Rahul Dravid, who plays the role of Indian head coach, will be busy with Team India in the World Cup. Whereas Vinoo Mankad Trophy will start from 8th October. In such a situation, due to the World Cup, he will not be able to see his son Samit playing in the Under-19 tournament.

In 286 Test innings, he scored 13288 runs at an average of 52.31, which included 36 centuries and 63 half-centuries. Apart from this, in 318 innings of ODI, he scored 10889 runs at an average of 39.16, in which he scored 12 centuries and 83 half-centuries.
