In the Lausanne Diamond League, Neeraj Chopra came back brilliantly in his second and third attempts after his first attempt was fouled. Neeraj’s second throw was 83.52 meters while he threw the third throw at 85.04 meters. However, after 3 throws, Germany’s Julian Weber had secured the first position in the table with a throw of 86.20 metres.

His fourth throw for Neeraj Chopra was a complete failure in which he fouled again. In such a situation, the pressure on him was also clearly visible. However, Neeraj, making a great comeback, managed to target the gold by throwing his 5th throw at a distance of 87.66 meters. After this, he threw his last throw 84.15 meters away. Germany’s Julian Weber finished second with a throw of 87.03 metres. At the same time, Yakub Wadlejche of Czech Republic finished third with the bronze medal.

This was the 8th gold medal in Neeraj Chopra’s career. This is his second gold medal in the Diamond League this year. Earlier, Neeraj had also won the gold medal in the Doha Diamond League.
