Glenn Maxwell on IPL: Glenn Maxwell has openly stated that he would like to play IPL till the end of his career. He also said that IPL will probably be the last tournament that he will play. While most Australian cricketers avoid IPL, why is Maxwell so fond of it? Maxwell told that IPL has benefited him a lot in his cricketing career, which is why he gives so much importance to the Indian Premier League.
In one of his interviews, Maxwell said, “IPL will probably be the last tournament that I will play. I will continue playing IPL even when I am no longer able to walk.” Let us tell you that the wife of Glenn Maxwell, who is very fond of IPL, is also of Indian origin, whose name is Vini Raman.
While explaining the importance of IPL in his life, Maxwell said, “I always talk about what a great tournament IPL is. The people I met, the coaches I met and the international players I played with helped my career a lot. You live with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers for two months, play and talk sports. A better lesson than this cannot be found anywhere else.”

It is worth noting that Maxwell is currently a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore. The RCB team made him its part in 2021. So far, he has played 42 matches for Bangalore, batting in 41 innings, he has scored 1214 runs at an average of 34.69 and strike rate of 161.44. During this period, he has scored 12 half-centuries.
The Australian batsman made his IPL debut in 2012 for Delhi Capitals. Maxwell has so far played for a total of four teams in the tournament, which include Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.
