Babar-Rizwan called the Chief Selector from Australia! Clear answer sought on New Zealand series

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan: Pakistan cricket team is currently on Australia tour. Pakistan team has to play a three-match test series in Australia. In the first test, Pakistan team lost by 360 runs. Now the second test match will be played from 26th December. Before this, surprising news has come out from Pakistan’s camp.

Actually, after Australia tour, Pakistan has to play T20 series in New Zealand. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Chief Selector Wahab Riaz has reportedly assured Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan that they will not be arbitrarily dropped from the upcoming matches. Earlier, many media reports are claiming that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will not get a place in the playing eleven in the T20 series against New Zealand.

Let us tell you that both these senior cricketers had expressed concern over the media reports that the selection panel is planning to rest them for the five-match T20 series in New Zealand next month. Babar and Rizwan are in Australia with the team for the three-Test series. After this, Pakistan team will travel to New Zealand for the T20 series starting from January 12 in Auckland.

After losing the first Test by 360 runs in Perth, there were reports in the media that the national selection committee was planning to rest Babar and Rizwan for the T20 series in New Zealand. According to media reports, a source close to both the players said that former captain Babar and wicketkeeper batsman Rizwan had called Riyaz from Australia and sought clarification regarding the limited overs series against New Zealand.

The source further said in the report, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan made it clear to the chief selector that they had never asked for rest, as they were doing well. Then why were there reports in the media that the selectors were going to give him rest.

The source said that former fast bowler Wahab Riaz had admitted to both of them that he had suggested giving them rest for a few matches against New Zealand, but later he changed his mind.
