Special court in Mumbai to pronounce verdict on Anil Deshmukh’s default bail plea on January 18

New Delhi, January 14. Former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh, who was arrested in a money laundering case, had filed an application for default bail last week. Anil Deshmukh had filed this application in a special court in Mumbai. The special court will pronounce its verdict on this petition on January 18. Anil Deshmukh had filed an application before the special court in Mumbai for default bail under Section 167(2) of the IPC.

Let us tell you that this petition was opposed by the ED. The ED had told the court that the court has not taken cognizance of the charge sheet against him in the money laundering case, so this petition has no significance. Let us tell you that the ED had arrested Anil Deshmukh on November 2 last year.
