Sisodia sent a letter to CBI, wrote – Investigation should be done to investigate the change in the stand of former LG on opening illegal liquor shops

New Delhi, August 06: Delhi’s Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has sent a letter to the CBI amid the Delhi Excise Policy controversy. In which he has demanded an inquiry into the change in attitude of former Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on opening of liquor shops in unauthorized areas in Delhi.

Sisodia said in his press briefing that

Let us tell you that in the past, Delhi’s LG VK Saxena had recommended a CBI inquiry in the Excise Policy 2021-22 of the Aam Aadmi Party’s government for alleged violation of rules and shortcomings in its process. The Deputy Chief Minister is the head of the Excise Department of the Delhi Government, there were some allegations against Sisodia regarding the new excise duty, after which Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had termed all the allegations against Manish Sisodia as baseless.
