Gujarat Election 2022 Voting: The campaigning for the Gujarat assembly elections has come to an end and now the first phase of voting is going to happen. Shortly after, votes will be cast on 89 seats in Gujarat. After the first phase, voting for the second phase will be held on December 5. This time many veterans have entered the electoral fray of Gujarat, including Rivaba Jadeja, wife of Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja. To whom BJP has given ticket from Jamnagar North seat. Rivaba has appealed to the people of Gujarat just before voting to exercise their franchise in maximum numbers.
Rivaba Jadeja said just before the voting started, “Today is a very important day. The hard work of all BJP workers is going to pay off. I would request people to vote as much as possible.”

Out of the total 182 seats in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, voting is being held in the first phase for 89 seats. These seats are spread across 19 districts of the state and the fate of a total of 788 candidates is at stake in this phase. The campaign for the first phase of polling in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled state ended at 5 pm on Tuesday.
On behalf of the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Gujarat, it was told that on Thursday, polling will be held between 8 am and 5 pm at 14,382 polling stations. Out of the 89 seats that will go to polls in the first phase, the BJP had won 48 in the 2017 assembly elections, while the Congress had won 40 seats and one seat went to an independent.
In this election, apart from BJP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP), Samajwadi Party (SP), Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI-M), Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP), 36 other parties also put forward their candidates. Have landed on the seats of Charan. BJP and Congress have fielded their candidates for all 89 seats.
