PM Modi asked the leaders of the world for their best wishes on the chairmanship of G-20 – Thanks

India G20 Summit 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday thanked several world leaders, including US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron, for the wishes received on assuming the chairmanship of the G-20 group from India. Also called for working together at the global level.

Responding to a tweet by US President Joe Biden, Modi said, ‘Thank you to the President of America. Your valuable support will be a source of strength for India’s G20 Presidency. It is important that we all together build a better earth.

In his tweet on Friday, Biden had said that India is a strong partner of the US and he looks forward to supporting his ‘friend’ Prime Minister Modi during India’s G-20 presidency.

PM Modi thanked European Council President Charles Michel for his good wishes. The PM tweeted, ‘Thank you Charles Michel. Looking forward to your active participation as we collectively work towards global good. Michel congratulated India on assuming the presidency of the G-20.

Modi also thanked Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez for his good wishes. Modi said, ‘Thank you Pedro Sanchez. Fully support your views on working collectively to mitigate the challenges of the present to create a better earth for the generations to come.

Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida also tweeted and congratulated India for the presidency of the G-20. On Kishida’s tweet, Prime Minister Modi said, ‘Your solidarity is important. Japan has contributed a lot to global welfare and I am sure the world will continue to learn from Japan’s successes on various fronts.

Also praised the President of France

French President Emmanuel Macron tweeted, ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future. India has taken over the presidency of G-20. I trust my friend Narendra Modi to bring us together to build a world of peace and a more sustainable world. Responding to Macron’s tweet, Modi said, ‘Thank you, my dear friend Emmanuel Macron. I look forward to consulting closely with you during India’s G20 Presidency, as we work to focus the world’s attention on issues affecting humanity as a whole.’
