Gujarat Assembly Election 2022: Voting for the first phase is going on in Gujarat. Meanwhile, all political parties are busy campaigning for the second phase of polling on December 5. Union Home Minister Amit Shah did a roadshow in Sanand, Ahmedabad on Thursday (December 1). During this, he addressed the public regarding the comments of Congress on Gujarat, Anti-Radical Cell and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Amit Shah said that the Anti Radical Cell is a proactive step. It is one thing to investigate after the incident and it is another thing not to let the incident happen, if we control radicalization, then terrorism and riots will automatically be controlled. Whenever the Congress has used abusive words, the people of Gujarat have responded through the ballot box. This time also the people of the state will give its answer to the Congress through voting.
Amit Shah listed the works of the Modi government
Amit Shah listed the work done by the BJP government for the people of Gujarat. He said, ‘Many problems of the state have been solved in our government. There was a water problem in Gujarat for years. PM Modi solved it. To overcome the water problem of Gujarat, dams and many check dams were built. Along with this, a solution was found for the Narmada project. PM Modi has also worked to improve the health facilities of the people of Gujarat. Under the leadership of PM Modi, 24-hour power supply started in the state.
Voting continues for the first phase in Gujarat
Voting is going on for the first phase on 89 seats out of total 182 seats in Gujarat Assembly. In the first phase, the fate of a total of 788 candidates is at stake in 89 seats. Of these, 48 seats were won by the BJP in the 2017 assembly elections, while 40 seats were won by the Congress and one seat was won by an independent. Many big names are also included in these.
AAP’s CM candidate Isudan Gadhvi is trying his luck from Khambhalia assembly constituency in Dwarka district of Saurashtra. On the other hand, AAP’s Gujarat unit president Gopal Italia is the candidate from Surat’s Katargam seat. Apart from this, the fate of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba Jadeja from Jamnagar North, sitting Congress MLAs like Lalit Kagathre, Lalit Vasoya, Rutwik Makwana and Mohammad Javed Peerzada will also be sealed in the EVM in the first phase itself.
