Congress: The meeting of Congress leaders is going on to chalk out a strategy for the Parliament session on Saturday. This meeting is going on at the residence of Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi. Please tell that after assuming the post of Congress President, Mallikarjun Kharge is participating in the Congress Parliamentary Strategy Group meeting for the first time.
Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi is presiding over the meeting. It is being told that in this meeting, a strategy will be decided to surround the BJP government on issues related to the public. Along with this, along with the issues to be raised in the Parliament, the joint strategy in both the Houses will also be discussed with the opposition parties.
Winter session will run from 7 to 29 December
Let us tell you that in the meeting of Congress, there is a possibility of deciding the direction of aggressive attitude on issues like non-reduction of petrol-diesel prices, uncontrollable inflation and unemployment. Along with this, there will also be a discussion on taking cooperation of other parties of the opposition on issues like data protection and stopping the worrisome provisions of bills like electricity amendment. Significantly, the winter session of Parliament will run from December 7 to 29, in which there will be 17 sittings in 23 days.
According to the information received, senior Congress leaders like Adhir Ranjan, Jairam Ramesh, KC Venugopal, P Chidambaram, Manish Tiwari, Manickam Tagore are present in the meeting along with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Rahul Gandhi will stay away from the session
If sources are to be believed, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and many other senior leaders of the party are likely to stay out of the winter session of Parliament. Along with Gandhi, these leaders are expected to continue their participation in the party’s ongoing ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.
