Work will shift to the new Parliament from today, women’s reservation bill may be introduced
Parliament Special Session Live Updates: Today is going to be a historic day in the history of Indian politics. The old Parliament building was completed on 18 January 1927 and it is going to be bid farewell today on 19 September.
The special session is going to start from today in the new Parliament House. There will be a joint photo shoot of the members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha at 9:30 am in the Old Parliament. Three separate photos will be taken in the group. In the first photo, members of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will be present and in the second photo, all Rajya Sabha members will be present. The third photo will show only members of the Lok Sabha. PM Modi will reach the Central Hall of Parliament at 11 am.
Will go on foot to the new building with a copy of the Constitution
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by senior ministers and MPs from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. During this time, there will be a program in the Central Hall in which a pledge will be taken to make India a prosperous nation by 2047. The PM will take the copy of the Constitution from the Central Hall and walk to the new building. All NDA MPs will follow PM Modi. The proceedings will start in the new Parliament House at exactly 1.30 pm. Whereas the proceedings of Rajya Sabha will start from 2:15 pm.
During the first meeting in the new Parliament Building, when the MPs enter the Parliament House, they will also be gifted a silver coin of Rs 75. A copy of the Constitution of India will also be gifted to all the MPs.
