‘Women helping militants escape’, tweets army on Manipur situation
Manipur violence: In the efforts to establish peace in Manipur, which is burning in the fire of caste violence, only local women are creating obstacles. The Indian Army gave information about this by tweeting on Tuesday (June 27). Since last May, efforts are being made continuously to end the violence spread in Manipur. However, till now all the efforts being made to restore peace have not been successful.
On behalf of the Indian Army, it was said in a tweet that ‘Women activists in Manipur are deliberately blocking roads and interfering in the operations of security forces. Such unwarranted interference is detrimental to the timely response on the part of the security forces to save life and property during critical situations. The Indian Army appeals to all sections of the public to support the effort to restore peace.
