Why did Congress lose in Rajasthan? Satyapal Malik wrapped this leader

Gurjar Voters in Rajasthan: This time Congress is in trouble in Rajasthan Assembly elections. Since the results came, the Congress party has been brainstorming and pondering over the reasons for the defeat. It is believed that the major reason for Congress’s defeat is the political tussle between former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot. Now former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and prominent Jat leader Satyapal Malik has also given a big statement on Congress’s defeat in Rajasthan.

Former Governor Satyapal Malik, in an interview given to a YouTube channel, has blamed the Congress’s defeat in Rajasthan on Gurjar leader and former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot. Malik alleged that Sachin Pilot wanted to become the Chief Minister of the state. When this did not happen because of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, he openly appealed to the people in the seats dominated by the Gurjar community in the recent assembly elections that people from your community were not allowed to become CM. This statement had a big impact in Rajasthan elections.

Congress leadership had taken this step before the elections

It is well known that a cold war was going on between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot since the formation of the Congress government in 2018. The game of checkmate going on between the two has come to the fore by 2023. However, before the assembly elections, the top leadership of Congress had taken initiative and tried to reduce the distance between the two leaders. Instructions were issued by the Congress Party regarding Gehlot and Pilot contesting the elections together.

The political fight continued till the end during the 5 year tenure of Congress.

Pilot raised his voice against his government even after being the Deputy CM during the 5-year tenure of the Gehlot government. Adding fuel to this fire was the announcement that the 2023 assembly elections would also be fought under the leadership of Ashok Gehlot as the CM candidate.

Pilot’s campaign against Gehlot in Gurjar belt had a big impact

Sachin Pilot fought the elections on the strength of Congress, but also showed his influence in Gurjar belt against Gehlot. The Gujjar community made Congress fall down and this vote bank got divided between Congress and BJP, the benefit of which BJP got in the form of victory.
