It is being included on the basis of Entry 20A of the Concurrent List. Apart from population control, family planning is also included in this. It will be included in the Uniform Civil Code on the lines of the Responsible Parenthood Bill 2018 introduced in the Parliament.

CM Dhami announced

Now CM Dhami has told that it can be implemented soon. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had reached the “Enlightenment Conference” organized in the capital Dehradun, where CM Pushkar Singh Dhami made this announcement. During this, Rajnath Singh also called UCC necessary for a better society and nation. CM Dhami claimed that UCC is getting full support of the people of the state. He said that UCC is not for any particular class but for the general public. We are bringing it for the upliftment of all.
