‘Surrender immediately’, no respite for those accused of defaming the government in 2002 Gujarat riots

Teesta Setalvad on Gujarat HC: In the case of defaming Gujarat after the 2002 riots, the Gujarat High Court rejected the bail application of accused Teesta Setalvad. Along with rejecting the bail plea, the High Court ordered Teesta to surrender immediately. The High Court also rejected the demand for a stay on the order.
