Lok Sabha Elections 2024: There may be another rift in the Congress party before the Lok Sabha elections 2024. There is speculation that Kamal Nath, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and one of the oldest leaders of the party, may join BJP. Many big leaders have left Congress. Jyotiraditya Scindia
Madhavrao Scindia’s son Jyotiraditya Scindia left the Congress party in March 2020. He was among the top leaders of the party and was likely to become the Chief Minister after the formation of the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh in 2018, but Kamal Nath was made the Chief Minister. It is believed that it was from here that he became angry with the party. About a year later, he joined BJP along with 22 MLAs and the government in the state changed.

sushmita dev
Sushmita, who was the president of All India Mahila Congress, left the Congress in August 2021. She was one of the most important leaders of the party in Assam. After leaving Congress, she became a part of TMC and also became a Rajya Sabha MP.

Amarinder Singh
Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh left the Congress in November 2021. After this he formed his own party. However, within a year he merged his Punjab Lok Congress party with BJP.

RPN Singh
In January 2022, RPN Singh left Congress and joined BJP. RPN Singh, a three-time MLA, said that Congress is no longer the party it used to be. He was a part of Congress for 30 years. His father was also a part of Indira Gandhi government.

Ashwini Kumar
Ashwini Kumar, who left Congress in February 2022, was also a cabinet minister in the UPA government. He was a part of the party for 40 years and was among Sonia Gandhi’s most trusted leaders.

Hardik Patel
Gujarat’s Patidar leader Hardik Patel left Congress in May 2022. He said that the big leaders of the party are more worried about the messages coming on their phones and the state level leaders are busy in chicken party.

Kapil Sibal
Kapil Sibal left the Congress party in May 2022. Two months before this, he had said that the Gandhi family should leave the top leadership and other leaders should be promoted. After leaving Congress, he became an independent MP in Rajya Sabha with the support of Samajwadi Party.

Sunil Jakhar
Former Punjab Congress Committee President Sunil Jakhar left the party in May 2022. After being in the party for 50 years, when he received a show cause notice, he raised questions on Sonia Gandhi’s working style and resigned from the party. Later he joined BJP.

Ghulam Nabi Azad
Ghulam Nabi Azad left the party in August 2022. He expressed his views by writing a five-page letter to Sonia Gandhi. He had said that Congress has reached such a stage that the party will never be able to make a comeback.

Jaiveer Shergill
Jaiveer left Congress in August 2022. He joined BJP and is currently the spokesperson of the party. He was the national spokesperson of Congress in 2018. Before leaving Congress, he had also made serious allegations against the top leaders of the party.

milind deora
Milind Deora left Congress in January 2024 and joined Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena party. Deora, who was among the leaders close to Rahul Gandhi, had accused Congress of not paying him any attention.

Ashok Chavan
Ashok Chavan, who separated from Congress in February 2024, has become a part of BJP.
