‘Sangram’ for CM in Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan, name decided in Chhattisgarh, final seal pending

Assembly Election Result 2023 Live Updates: The ongoing tussle over the new CM in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Telangana seemed to be subsiding a bit on Tuesday (December 5). In Telangana, Congress has finally ended all speculations by naming Revanth Reddy for CM, but BJP still seems to be stuck in confusion. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has majority in all the three states, but till now the CM face has not been decided anywhere.

The party has many names in front of it for Chief Minister in all the three states. The party high command is not able to decide on which of them should be finalized. Every leader is showing his/her own strength and importance. In view of the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year, BJP is also in no mood to rush. She wants to decide the name of CM on such a basis that the caste equation is not disturbed.

Most confusion in Rajasthan

Deciding the name of the new CM in Rajasthan is the biggest challenge for BJP. There are many contenders for CM here. Former CM Vasundhara Raje may have been left behind by the party, but she is also in this race. His supporting MLAs are continuously visiting him. If the party makes someone other than Vasundhara the CM, then many MLAs may rebel. This is the reason why the party is now waiting for the time. Among other names, Baba Balak Nanath, Kirod Lal Meena and Diya Kumari are also trending.

What is the situation in Madhya Pradesh

Even in Madhya Pradesh, it is not so easy for the party to decide on a new CM. There former CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan is still the first choice among the people. Apart from this, there are many MLAs also in his support. Although he has never claimed the post and is still leaving the decision to the high command, but if he is not made the CM, the MLAs of his group may get angry and open a front. Apart from this, the names of Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Narendra Singh Tomar and Prahlad Patel are also in front of the party. Both of them have become MLAs from MPs.

Picture almost clear in Chhattisgarh

The name of who will be the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh has not been decided yet, but there are definitely indications that the party can make a tribal the CM here. In this context, the name of Ram Vichar Netam is running at the forefront. Apart from these, former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh is also in the race for CM in the state.
