PM Modi-Egyptian President lays special emphasis on increasing security cooperation, discussed these issues

PM Modi’s visit to Egypt: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi held wide-ranging talks on Sunday (June 25) with special emphasis on enhancing political and security cooperation. With this, both the countries raised the status of their relations to the level of ‘strategic partnership’.

PM Modi, who is visiting Egypt at the invitation of President al-Sisi, held talks with him. During this, both the leaders also discussed important issues of the region and the world. Addressing a press conference on PM Modi’s visit, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra said that four MoUs and agreements have been signed, including the ‘most important and historic’ strategic partnership between India and Egypt.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone on a two-day state visit to Egypt. The PM reached Egypt on Saturday (June 24) after visiting America. The PM met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo on Sunday as well as visited several important sites. During this, the PM also went to see the Great Pyramid of Giza in Cairo.
