Opinion: Any government of Pakistan is at the mercy of the army, spoiling relations with neighbors will be costly.

<पी शैली="पाठ-संरेखण: औचित्य सिद्ध करें;">The relationship between India and Pakistan has been the same as it was for many decades, that is, it has deteriorated. There has been no improvement in that. In the recent times, Pakistan’s tension with Afghanistan is at its peak, while Pakistan’s relations with Iran have also deteriorated. First Iran attacked Pakistan with drones and missiles, then in retaliation Pakistan also attacked Iran. With this the tension between the two reached its peak. The domestic situation of Pakistan is also not very good. Unrest is going on in Pakistan from Balochistan to Sindh. In such an environment, questions are being raised on how elections will be held in Pakistan next month in February.

Relations between Pakistan and Iran worsened since 2014

The reason for deteriorating relations between the two is Pakistan ignoring Iran’s views. Iran was repeatedly explaining to Pakistan that it should not allow the terrorist organization Jaish-al-Adl to grow within itself, but Pakistan ignored Iran’s request. Not only this, some time ago the terrorist organization Jaish-al-Adl had attacked the security forces of Iran. In response to which Iran attacked Balochistan through drones and missiles. After this Pakistan also attacked Iran. Meanwhile, elections are also going to be held in Pakistan in February. We know that Iran has attacked Balochistan with missiles. This is not an immediate incident, nor is it a quick action.

Relations between Pakistan and Iran are in bad shape since 2014. Many times Pakistan has made small attacks on Iran and many times Iran has also attacked Pakistan. One reason for this is the Sistan area there, which is the border of Balochistan. The activities that are happening there are Pakistani terrorist organizations in that area and they are creating problems by going to Iranian territory. Talking about the current attack, Iran had carried out this attack to destroy the Pakistani terrorist organization Jaish-al-Adl, in which two-three children were also killed. In retaliation, Pakistan also attacked Iran in which nine people were reported killed. Somewhere, Iran is facing internal pressure, due to which Iran has attacked Pakistan as well as many other countries.

Iran has good relations with India

On the other hand, Iran wanted to tell Pakistan that if you are attacking again and again, we too will not remain silent. This is a very negative point for Pakistan because from China’s point of view, China has good relations with Iran and also good relations with Pakistan. China has also said that it is ready to compromise. Talking from India’s point of view, this is good because Iran has been a supporter of India. Seen in a way, this is good for India for security purposes, whereas it is bad news for Pakistan. There is no doubt that Pakistan is a member of the Islamic Organization country. But if we look at the historical background, the rift that has existed between Shia and Sunni Muslims since the time of the Afghan war, then this rift will be clearly visible, this difference will be clearly visible. How Saudi Arabia, UAE, whatever funding these people do, they do it to Sunni groups. Iran supports the Shia group there.

Army in the name of government in Pakistan

There are formal relations between Pakistan and Iran. On the day of the attack, a joint naval operation between Pakistan and Iran was going on, but the attack also took place. If seen directly, the Pakistani supported groups of Iran, all of them are Shia supported groups and the Madrassas there, Iran is giving full money to all of them and at the same time is promoting its ideology. Funding of UAE and Saudi Arabia, whether it is Lashkar group or Lashkar-e-Jang, all the militant groups which are Sunni, are getting funding from Saudi Arabia, but Jaish-e-Mohammed (Pakistan) is a Shia group, all these Is getting funding from Iran. Iran has started interfering in Pakistani politics since the 70s.

Elections are also going to be held in Pakistan on 8 February. Talking about Imran Khan’s party, his party is contesting elections. The elections will be completed under the supervision of the army. If seen from the point of view of India, there has been a political elite from the beginning. Whatever government may be in place, it will not be able to take powerful decisions. Democracy has still not developed among them. As long as there is military pressure, the democratic government will not be able to take decisions. Only that party which has the support of the Army will win in the elections. India should not expect that if Pakistan’s government changes, there will be a change in its behaviour. Pakistan’s behavior towards India will remain the same as it has always been.
