Since childhood, he had seen such an environment at home, due to which a feeling of patriotism arose in him. Bhagat Singh had seen the British oppressing Indians from the very beginning.

After coming out of school, he went straight to the place where the massacre took place. From there he filled the soil stained with the blood of martyred Indians in a bottle and brought it home. He used to worship it every day.
