Manipur News: Manipur is burning in the fire of caste violence since May 2023. During this time, many people there are displaced and forced to live in relief camps. Meanwhile, State Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that an assistance amount of Rs 1000 was given to the people living in the relief camp. CM gave this information by posting on X.
Amount given to people living in relief camp
CM N Biren Singh said, “All the displaced persons living in relief camps were given an assistance amount of Rs 1000 per person through DC on Tuesday (October 24, 2023). This assistance amount was given to these people because, So that as soon as the winter season starts, all the displaced people can buy winter clothes and personal items.”

61,387 people are living in relief camps
CM informed through X that a total of Rs 6.138 crore has been released to DC, which is to be used for the people living in relief camps. At present, a total of 61,387 people are living in relief camps in Manipur, to meet whose needs this amount has been given.
According to CM N Biren Singh, the state government will provide assistance to all the people affected by the violence, irrespective of which community they belong to.
CM had talked about return of peace soon
Recently, during his visit to Imphal, CM N Biren Singh had talked about restoring peace in the state soon. He had said that peace would soon return to the state and the situation would become normal.
On May 3, caste violence broke out between the Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur, following which riots occurred at many places in the state. There is a lot of politics going on in the entire country regarding this. Congress is targeting BJP and PM Modi on this issue.
