Kejriwal government in preparation for major reshuffle in the portfolios of ministers, LG faces allegations regarding the file
Delhi cabinet reshuffle: A dispute is coming to the fore between Delhi’s Kejriwal government and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. Sources said that the file related to reshuffle in the Delhi cabinet is lying in the LG office for the last four days, but VK Saxena has not signed it. However, these allegations have been rejected by the LG office.
News agency PTI quoted sources as saying on Thursday (June 29) that former LG Anil Baijal used to approve such a file in half an hour. On this, sources associated with the Lieutenant Governor’s office said that we have signed the file related to cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday (June 28) itself. It has been sent to the Kejriwal government. Responding to this, the Delhi government said that we have not yet received the file from the LG office.
The first reshuffle in the Delhi government
There has been a reshuffle of ministerial posts in the Delhi government in the last few months. Saurabh Bhardwaj and Atishi were sworn in as ministers in March this year after the resignation of former deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, who were jailed in the liquor policy case.
Let us tell you that Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal is attacking the government even regarding the ordinance of the Center. Kejriwal is saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to run the government through an ordinance through the Lieutenant Governor. This is an insult to the elected government of Delhi. Recently, the Supreme Court had said that the Kejriwal government has the right to transfer-posting the officers of Delhi, but the central government brought an ordinance after a few days.
Rhetoric between Arvind Kejriwal and LG
Arvind Kejriwal also targeted Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena over his remarks on free facilities and said that he should not insult the working people of the national capital. On Wednesday (June 28) at an event titled ‘Delhi 2041 – New Master Plan’ organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Saxena had said that the people of Delhi have now become addicted to free things.
