Is Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena secular? Owaisi’s taunt on opposition unity, said- I am not a man…
Maharashtra Politics: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi addressed the public in a huge public meeting in Malkapur, Maharashtra. Maha Aghadi alliance of Maharashtra was his target in this meeting. Raising questions on this alliance, he raised the question whether Shiv Sena is really secular?
Asaduddin Owaisi said that Congress’ Rahul Gandhi and NCP’s Sharad Pawar told Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray, you are secular, so you become the Chief Minister in this government. He asked the public present in the public meeting that can anyone here tell me whether Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena are really secular. If not, then why are some government Muslims happy with Uddhav becoming the CM. It is just as if my brother is a man if not me.
Targeted for not having a single Muslim MP
Speaking in the same public meeting, Asaduddin Owaisi also targeted PM Modi’s visit to America. He said that PM went to America, he is the Prime Minister of the country and I will not target him on his foreign tour, but there he said in the press conference that there is no discrimination in the country, which is wrong. Owaisi said, PM sir, there are 306 MPs in your party but there is not a single Muslim among them.
There is not a single Muslim minister in your cabinet, is this not discrimination? He said, you have reduced the Minority Welfare Fund by 40 percent, is it not discrimination. If this is not discrimination then what is discrimination after all.
