Telangana Legislative Assembly: The bill to ban hookah parlors was passed unanimously in the Telangana Assembly on Monday (February 12).
After the commencement of Telangana Assembly proceedings, Minister D. Sridhar Babu addressed Chief Minister A. On behalf of Revanth Reddy, the proposal for Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Banning of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) was introduced in the House and Telangana Amendment Bill 2024 was introduced which was passed with consent.

Upper age limit for direct recruitment jobs increased by 2 years
Apart from this, the Telangana government has also increased the upper age limit for direct recruitment jobs by two years for the upcoming recruitments. The government has increased this age limit from 44 years to 46 years.
