Rahul Gandhi reached the violence-affected state of Manipur on Thursday. Where the police had asked him to go by helicopter instead of going to Churachandpur by road. In a tweet, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the situation in Manipur calls for ending differences through empathy. He further said that it is not in the interest of the country for any political leader to use his so-called visit to increase differences. He said that both the communities of Manipur have categorically rejected such attempts.
