First action was taken against close ones, now Punjab Congress leader said in the meeting – Navjot Singh Sidhu should not be mentioned in public.

No discussion on Sidhu: In Punjab, the Congress party is busy preparing for the Lok Sabha elections. As part of this preparation, Punjab in-charge Devendra Yadav held a meeting with party workers in Anandpur Sahib, Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar. In these meetings, most of the party leaders have decided not to publicly mention former Punjab chief Navjot Singh Sidhu. Apart from this, he also raised the issue of indiscipline in the meeting and expressed his concern over it. Sidhu’s behavior also became a matter of significant concern during the discussion in the meeting.

In these meetings, the issue of indiscipline of the party leaders and senior leaders was also raised. Senior party leader Pratap Singh Bajwa said that Congress is facing losses due to this indiscipline. In fact, after the recent incidents in Punjab Congress, there is discussion in the political circles of the state that Navjot Singh Sidhu is being sidelined. Recently, Sidhu had given further fuel to these claims by writing poetry on Twitter in his own style.

When action was taken against Sidhu’s close ones

On January 27, Congress Party’s new Punjab chief Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding had suspended two leaders who organized Sidhu’s rally in Moga. These include one MLA Mahesh Inder Singh and his son Dharampal Singh. After this action of Raja Wadding, Navjot Singh Sidhu also posted a couplet on Twitter. He wrote, ‘Neither did I fall nor did any tower of my hopes fall, but in an attempt to make me fall, every person fell again and again.’ Political experts are calling this tweet as Sidhu’s answer to this action.

…and Congress gave the responsibility to Sidhu

Congress party leaders in Punjab have been raising questions about Sidhu’s behavior in many meetings. However, the party has not yet taken any action against him. Instead, recently the Congress High Command has made Sidhu a member of the Punjab Election Committee for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
