Finance Minister Sitharaman listed the works of Modi government, P Chidambaram replied, giving credit to UPA government
Nirmala Sitharaman Articles: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has written an article about the achievements of the Modi government, in which she has mentioned everything from triple talaq to Article 370. Now a reply has been given by the Congress regarding this article. Senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram responded to the achievements mentioned by Nirmala Sitharaman. He said that many examples given by the Finance Minister are true, all these will be true for every government ruling for 5 or 10 years.
Proved wrong in three cases
Congress leader P Chidambaram mentioned five examples included in Finance Minister Sitharaman’s article, when the opposition challenged the government in court and lost. Chidambaram wrote, “Finance Minister has given 5 examples of the opposition taking the government to court and losing the case. Which are proved wrong in at least three cases. The Supreme Court has passed triple talaq even before the Parliament passed the law.” Was declared illegal. The Article 370 case has not yet been heard in the court and many cases are pending under GST laws.
Answered regarding ranking
Congress leader P Chidambaram further wrote, “Honourable Finance Minister credited India for achieving top position in production of milk, honey and fruits and vegetables. These ranks were achieved years ago and we retain those ranks. Hon’ble Finance Minister takes credit for Direct Benefit Transfer. She forgot that ‘Aadhaar’ was conceived, created and implemented by the UPA government and the first transfer under DBT was done by the UPA government.”

‘Modi government is standing on the shoulders of UPA government’
Chidambaram wrote in his tweet, “Hon’ble Finance Minister claims to have built 11.72 crore toilets. She should read her own government’s report on how many of them are unusable and unusable due to water scarcity. Every government will have achievements in its account.” , the Modi government does the same. If the Modi government is standing strong in some areas, it is because it is standing on the shoulders of the UPA government.”
