ICC World Cup 2023: ICC has released the schedule of cricket’s biggest tournament World Cup 2023. Its first match will be played on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. India-Pakistan match has been held in this stadium on October 15, for which protests have started. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has opposed the match with Pakistan.
MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande tweeted and wrote, it is completely unacceptable that India vs Pakistan fight on Indian soil. Shri Balasaheb Thackeray also does not accept this thing. This match is happening in Narendra Modi Stadium, this is not acceptable any more. What is the role of BJP and Shiv Sena on this? Uddhav is not asking questions to Balasaheb Thackeray because he has left Hindutva.
Suspense on playing Pakistan’s match
There is suspense regarding the match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board had demanded a change in the venue of the match played against India from the ICC and the BCCI, but the ICC and the BCCI rejected that request.
According to a report in Aaj Tak, the Pakistan team did not want to play matches against Afghanistan in Chennai and also against Australia in Bangalore, there was also a demand from the PCB to swap the venues in both Chennai and Bangalore. At the moment, it is not yet clear whether the Pakistan team will come to India to play the match or not.
