DMK MP TR Baalu advised Udhayanidhi to be cautious, said- ‘The whole country…’
Udhayanidhi Sanatana Dharma Remarks: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) treasurer and MP TR Baalu has issued a note to Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin advising him to take thoughtful steps in his political career. This reaction of TR Balu comes after the statement of Udhayanidhi Stalin in which he had compared Sanatan Dharma with diseases like dengue and malaria.
According to an India Today report, while addressing an event on Monday (September 18), Balu said that the entire country is scared of the DMK youth wing president, wondering what he will do next. Emphasizing that he was only afraid of his father, the DMK leader further said, “He is saying anything thinking that he will handle it later but I want to warn him that it is his responsibility to take care of whatever is happening.” The thing he is holding in his hands should not fall down and break.”
‘Be careful before giving statement’
TR Baalu said that the leaders of the opposition Alliance India faction initially reacted to Udhayanidhi’s remarks according to the distorted media report but later calmed down when the accurate media report was shown. He also warned Udhayanidhi to be careful with his statements. TR Baalu believes that Udhayanidhi’s statements are being distorted out of jealousy.
Udayanidhi Stalin’s statement
Earlier this month, Udhayanidhi, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, had compared Sanatana Dharma to “malaria” and “dengue” while talking about ending it. The DMK minister had argued that Sanatan Dharma is based on caste system and discrimination. The minister said, “Instead of opposing Sanatan, it should be abolished. The name Sanatan is from Sanskrit. It is against social justice and equality.”
