CM Mamata Banerjee: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is campaigning for the upcoming panchayat elections. He made tea at a tea shop in Malbazar, Jalpaiguri on Monday (June 26) while campaigning. CM Mamta made tea and fed it to the people present there.

At the same time, CM Mamata Banerjee made serious allegations against the BSF regarding the deployment of central forces in the state. He said that the Border Security Force is intimidating voters in the border areas of the state at the behest of the BJP. For this, the CM has asked the Bengal Police to keep a close watch on their activities.

Serious allegations made on BSF

Addressing a rally for panchayat elections in the border district, Banerjee said, “I have received information that some BSF officers are visiting border areas, threatening voters and asking them not to vote.” I would tell the people not to be afraid and fearlessly participate in the elections.”

Law will do its work- CM

Referring to the alleged firing on villagers by the BSF last year, Banerjee said, “The police will register FIRs in such cases and the law will take its course.” He said, “They don’t have the right to shoot anyone. Nobody is above the law, it seems like killing people has become a common thing in Coochbehar district.” Banerjee said that law and order is a state subject and the Center has no role in it.

He said that the Trinamool Congress will defeat the BJP in the July 8 rural elections. He said, we will defeat the BJP at the Center and bring a government which will bring development in the country. At the same time, BJP termed the allegations of using BSF for its political purpose as baseless.
