Mamata Banerjee: BJP has demonstrated against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s objectionable statement against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This performance of Bengal BJP workers was quite unique, because they were seen feeding honey to Mamata’s picture. BJP workers said that they are doing this so that Mamata’s language becomes sweet. West Bengal BJP has also shared a video of this.
A rally against Mamata was organized by the youth wing of BJP in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. During this, party workers said that they have also brought ‘Baranaparichay’, a popular primer written by 19th century scholar and state icon Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar, to the rally here. He said that he has brought copies of this book written by Vidyasagar here so that Mamata can be told about the richness of the Bengali language.

TMC said- BJP needs introspection
At the same time, Trinamool Congress (TMC) said that BJP needs to introspect. The party said that BJP’s opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari and other leaders speak derogatorily against Mamata Banerjee every day. Mamata is accused of allegedly using objectionable words against PM Modi during her recent protest demanding the release of MNREGA funds for Bengal.
What did BJP say?
BJP youth leader Indranil Khan said, ‘We condemn the way Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee talked about a respected leader like PM Modi. This is against the culture of Bengal and our heritage. He further said, ‘It is also against the ideals of stalwarts like Vidyasagar, who started ‘Baranaparichay’ to introduce Bengalis to the rich language. As a symbolic step, we are feeding honey on the lips of the Chief Minister (in photo).
