Today’s weather update: While monsoon is bidding farewell in many states, there are some states where rain is wreaking havoc. The series of deaths continues after the sudden flood in Teesta river following cloudburst in Sikkim. The situation in West Bengal also remains out of control after heavy rains. IMD has predicted heavy rains in Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim and other areas today i.e. Sunday (8 October).
In the capital Delhi, a slight coolness is being felt compared to the previous days, although due to sunshine during the day, the temperature still remains normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain cold in the morning for the next three days and light fog may be seen in Delhi. Not only this, the maximum temperature in the capital is expected to be 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 20 degrees for the next few days. Along with this, drizzle may also be seen in some areas on Tuesday (October 10).
Where will it rain?
According to the Meteorological Department, along with heavy rains in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Sunday (October 8), a warning of storm, storm and lightning has been issued. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala also. Also, there will be light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on October 9 and 10. Monsoon is going to bid farewell in the next two to three days in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha.
