22 FIRs, 15 arrests, Nuh police action continues after violence – 150 people questioned so far
Haryana violence: Tension prevailed in Haryana’s Nuh and Gurugram districts after communal violence. Police force and central forces have been deployed in large numbers to bring the situation under control. Meanwhile, the police have said that so far 22 FIRs have been registered in connection with the violence in Nuh. 15 people have been arrested in connection with the violence.
Nuh’s Superintendent of Police (SP) said that 22 FIRs have been registered so far. 15 people have been arrested and about 150 people have been questioned. Violence broke out during a procession in Nuh on July 31, after which curfew was imposed in the area. Along with this, internet was also banned.
5 killed in violence in Nuh
Five people, including two home guards, have died in the violence in Nuh. More than 50 police officers, employees and other people have been injured. There is curfew in Nuh district till 2 August.
The fire of violence has started reaching the neighboring districts. In Gurugram, a violent mob set a mosque on fire, in which one person was killed. Due to tension, Section 144 has been imposed in 6 districts including Rewari, Gurugram and Sonipat. The 10th and 12th examinations in Nuh to be held on August 2 have also been postponed.
