Brij Bhushan Singh : Gonda. A lot of ruckus was witnessed on Saturday in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh at a program of Bharatiya Janata Party MP and outgoing Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. News agency ANI, while releasing the video of this ruckus, said that two groups of his supporters clashed with each other for taking selfies with Brij Bhushan Singh and this quarrel turned into a big ruckus.
Brij Bhushan Singh had come here to attend the program of BJP Minority Morcha in Barbat of Katra Bazar Assembly Constituency located in Gonda district. After this program, a quarrel started among the people present there. In the video of news agency ANI, both these groups are seen throwing chairs at each other. Seeing the uproar, the security personnel rescued Brij Bhushan Singh from there. It is reported that some people pelted stones at his convoy as well.
Outgoing WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been in the news in recent times for sexual harassment allegations against some female wrestlers. The Delhi Police filed a chargesheet in this regard on Thursday regarding allegations of sexual harassment and stalking against him. However, it recommended the cancellation of the charges against him under POCSO.
The police, while recommending the cancellation of the complaint lodged by the minor wrestler against Brij Bhushan, said that ‘no concrete evidence’ was found. In a statement issued by the police, it was told that in the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case, a report was filed requesting the cancellation of the case based on the statements of the complainant i.e. the minor’s father and the girl herself.
