Mainpuri: How BJP’s entire strategy failed in front of Dimple?

The results of Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri Lok Sabha and Rampur-Khatauli assembly by-elections are out. SP’s Dimple Yadav won the Mainpuri seat by a huge margin, defeating BJP’s Raghuraj Singh Shakya by 2 lakh 88 thousand votes.

Till the last round of the election, there was a tough fight between the two candidates. Got to see However, Dimple continued to lead till the end. BJP candidate Raghuraj Shakya also lost his booth.

SP leads in all 5 seats

Mainpuri Lok Sabha has 5 assembly seats. Sadar, Kishni, Bhogaon, Karhal and Jaswant Nagar. For the first time the SP candidate got lead on all the five seats. In 2019, Mulayam trailed from Bhogaon, while SP lost Bhogaon and Sadar seats in the 2022 assembly elections.

Dimple Yadav saved the reputation of the family

In the by-election, the Samajwadi Party made Mulayam Singh Yadav’s daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav a candidate from this seat, from which it was clear how important this seat was for the SP. In this seat, where on one hand there was a challenge for the SP to save the reputation of the family, on the other hand it had to convey the message among the people that after the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh is the rightful successor of his legacy.

With the victory of Dimple it was also proved. Dimple Yadav continued to lead till the last round as the counting of votes started in Mainpuri seat. BJP candidate Raghuraj Shakya lost even his booth.

BJP’s magic did not work in Mainpuri

This seat remained in the hands of BJP. BJP candidate Raghuraj Singh Shakya could not succeed in defeating his daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav in Mulayam Singh Yadav’s stronghold. But if we talk about BJP’s strategy to win the election on this seat, then BJP tried its best and tried its best to feed lotus on this SP’s stronghold, but its wish could not be fulfilled. Why did BJP fail in front of Dimple Yadav?

There was a direct contest between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party in the by-election held after the death of Mulayam Singh on this seat, because the BSP and the Congress did not field their candidates on this seat. On the other hand, after the death of Mulay Singh Yadav, the Akhilesh family not only got the support of its supporters but also of all the people. Somewhere BSP and Congress supported SP by not fielding their candidates.

In such a situation, along with the Yadav voters, the Muslim and Dalit voters also went in the SP’s court on this seat. Apart from this, the Samajwadi Party, one of the oldest parties of UP, got the sympathy of the people due to the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav, as a result of which people gave huge support to the SP in this seat.

Mainpuri Lok Sabha has maximum ‘Yadav’ voters

Talking about caste equation on Mainpuri seat, there are more than 17 lakh voters in this seat. Out of which the maximum number of Yadav voters, in which 35 percent Yadav voters are there, then Shakya and Rajput voters are on the second number. After which there are Brahmin, Lodhi, Dalit, Muslim voters and in this election too, as usual, Yadav and Shakya voters supported SP, due to which SP got a massive victory.

BJP’s Raghuraj Singh Shakya did not get much support from the Shakya community as well, but this voter also went to the SP’s court. While keeping this caste equation in mind, the BJP claimed Raghuraj Singh Shakya to capture this seat. was. But this bet of BJP could not make much impact.

Apart from this, SP also got support from Jaswantnagar assembly constituency which comes in Mainpuri Lok Sabha because Shivpal Yadav, uncle of MLA Akhilesh Yadav and brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav, also announced to support Dimple Yadav in this by-election. After which the message of unity among the Yadav family went among the people.

The entire Yadav family came together and contested against the BJP to save the historic seat of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Even the result was that uncle and nephew came together as soon as the results of the by-election came. Shivpal Yadav announced the merger of his party Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party with SP even before the announcement of Dimple’s victory.

The result of all these reasons was that the SP, which occupied the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat in the year 1996, created history once again and once again the leader’s seat remained intact in the SP. During this, a slogan which was heard a lot during the election rallies was that "The one whose charm remains, his name is Mulayam." This slogan has been proved here only with this victory.
