JNU Row: Regarding the controversial slogans written on the walls of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Student Union President Ayesha Ghosh has said that efforts are being made to spoil the university. In the last few years, the number of such people has increased, who want to spoil the atmosphere of the university.
Ayesha Ghosh said that many such incidents have come to the fore in the recent past. The university administration should take strict action on this. Those who do this should be identified and action should be taken against them. Along with this, he said that the student union condemns the current and past incidents in JNUSU and also demands an inquiry from the JNU administration.
What is controversy?
Let us tell you that the pictures of anti-Brahmin and anti-bania slogans written on the walls of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University have gone viral. After this, there is resentment in various student organizations. It is reported that the walls of the School of International Studies building have been plastered with slogans against the Brahmin and Bania communities.
What did you say about JNU administration
On this incident, the student union president said that this is not the first time such acts have been done in JNU. Earlier this year, ‘Muslim Live Doesn’t Matter’ was written on the walls of JNU. Even before this there was vandalism inside the university. JNU administration should take cognizance of such slogans and take necessary strict action as per university rules.
Ayesha Ghosh further said that there is a group within the campus which has repeatedly done such things to maintain a tense atmosphere in the campus. Targeting the right wing, he said that there are right-wing forces within the campus who have done this reprehensible act.
