Delhi News: The controversy over writing casteist slogans on many walls of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is increasing. Reactions are coming from all over the country on this matter. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the JNU administration has taken cognizance of it. Lyricist Manoj Muntashir Shukla has called it an insult to Sanatan.
Talking to TV channel Times Now Navbharat, lyricist Manoj Muntashir Shukla compared the JNU controversy to Hitler’s regime. He said that what was the condition of the Jews in Germany around 1940, how the Jews were being suppressed. Today the condition is the same. Leftist thinking people sitting in Jawaharlal Nehru University are trying to hollow out the country. There is a need to fight against such thinking people.
Upper castes are being humiliated: Manoj Muntashir
During a conversation with the channel, Manoj Muntashir said that the Savarnas (Brahmins) are being insulted again and again. He said that there is a crisis on our identity. There is a crisis on our existence. Leftists want us to bear everything silently. This is not possible. He further said that the so-called intellectuals do not want to talk about upper castes and Brahmins.
He said that these people of leftist ideology pretend in a way that we do not believe in casteism. On the other hand, they target on the basis of caste only. Tweeting on this matter, the lyricist wrote that this is the anti-Sanatan and anti-India face of JNU University. The sad thing is that no one is talking about it. If a particular caste is targeted and that caste speaks something in its favour, then we have become casteist. I refuse this cowardly silence.
slogans written on the walls
Pictures surfaced on social media showed slogans such as ‘Brahmin campus chhodo’, ‘Khoon bahega’, ‘Brahmin quit India’ and ‘Brahmin-baniya, we are coming for you! We will take revenge.
