The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is taking Indian men’s and women’s teams from Charter Plane to Mumbai where the players will stay in Quarantine before leaving for England on June 2. BCCI has shared the photo during the trip.

Earlier, Indian women’s Test and ODI captain Mithali Raj and women’s T20 team captain Harmanpreet Kaur confirmed this news via Twitter. Harmanpreet tweeted, “The BCCI has arranged a charter plane to send men and women teams to Mumbai before leaving for England.” Mithali said that apart from the charter plane, regular RT-PCR tests were done for the players at home.

Mithali said, “Traveling during this epidemic is challenging but the BCCI has made all preparations for our safety. Charter plane and in-house RT-PCR test have been arranged for Mumbai and England.”

The Indian women’s team has to play the only Test match against England from June 16, after which a series of three ODIs and three T20 matches will also be played between the two teams.

The men’s team is scheduled to play the final match of the World Test Championship against New Zealand from June 18 in Southampton. After this, he also has to play a five-match Test series against England in August-September. Some players are expected to reach Mumbai on Wednesday, while other players may come on 24 May.
