ICAO Report: India in top 50 countries in terms of aviation security, China-Pakistan did not find place


India Aviation Safety: Indian aviation security inspection system has now made a place in the top 50 countries. According to the latest data released by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), India ranks 48th among the top 50 countries. Let us inform that the Indian Aviation Security Inspection System used to be at 102nd rank four years back.

Significantly, the International Civil Aviation Organization had completed the safety inspection audit of the Indian aviation sector last month. The audit was conducted in the legislation, organisation, individual licensing, operations, airworthiness and airport areas. Now ICAO released the report saying that India’s condition has improved a lot since last few years.

India’s performance is better than China-Pakistan

ICAO has given 85.49% marks to DGCA. Due to which India has jumped to 48th position. Top officials of ICAO say that India’s score in 2018 was 69.95%. Seeing which it can be clearly inferred that India has done much better in this field. Whereas, according to the report released by ICAO, Nepal (101st position), Pakistan (100th position), Bangladesh (94th position) have been ranked. Not only this, India’s EI score is better than countries like China (49), Israel (50), Turkey (54), Denmark (55) and Poland (60).

Earlier during the audit, DGCA had said that as per preliminary reports, the mission was a complete success. India has performed very well and our score will improve significantly, which will put us in the list of countries with best safety standards and inspection systems.
